NBA executive opens on LeBron James’ sensational transfer rumour to Warriors
As spooky as it sounds, there has been some noice in the American media over LeBron James’ potential move to the Golden State Warriors. Although it seems like an all-star all-season stuff to imagine Steph Curry and LeBron James playing together and according to journalist Sean Deveney from Heavy Sports, a sensational trade could well be on cards in James’ case.
LeBron has been left frustrated with the inconsistent results that have been the norm in Los Angeles. Despite the club not achieving the expected consistency, James has been playing some of the best basketball of his career. He averaged more than 30 PPG at the age of 37 last season and was one of the best players in the NBA. His run at that age was a far-fetched task for multipel former NBA stars.
The frustration factor is genuinely palpable for James he wishes to act upon it before his golden touch is timed out. This is where the Golden State Warriors come into picture, as the defending champions are likely to challenge for the title once again. An unnamed NBA executive confirmed this brewing rumour and also added the potential catches to it.
For the deal to go through, Golden State Warriors might have to include one of their young guns in return like James Wiseman, Jonathan Kuminga, Moses Moody, or Pat Baldwin. Adding to it, the executive has said, as quoted by Sean Deveney, that the Lakers, if they were to sacrifice their biggest superstar, might also have to release one of their major young talents to accommodate the incoming players.
Earlier, Steph Curry dismissed the possibility of ever playing alongside “King James” although both players share great mutual respect. However, with situations now really enforcing a potential move upon the players, it’ll be interesting to see how Curry reacts to the situation. It is not common that a journalist quotes an NBA executive for a rumour like this and there’s tremendous hype already about it.
Besides Curry, LeBron James will also be partnering some of the best players in their positions like the Splash brothers and Draymond Green. The Lakers, James’ current employers, are sitting in the 13th position in the Western Conference this season.
