CSK’s Mukesh Choudhary ruled out of IPL 2023, Akash Singh named as replacement
Chennai Super Kings’ left-arm pacer Mukesh Choudhary has been ruled out of the IPL 2023 season as he is still recovering from a back injury at the National Cricket Academy in Bengaluru. The news comes just a day before CSK’s season opener against Gujarat Titans, and the Yellow Army were prompt enough to name another talented left-arm pacer Akash Singh as his replacement.
The 20-year-old was previously with the Rajasthan Royals and he played one match for them, conceding 39 runs in a spell of four overs. Singh, however, has become a regular for his state side Rajasthan in domestic cricket, and also represents them in all formats. The youngster has claimed 31 wickets in domestic cricket so far.
